About Krixi

Help for the farmer, close to the field

Krixi helps vegetable farmers understand what is wrong with a crop and decide what to do, in their own language, with people nearby who can help.

Why Krixi

When a crop shows spots, wilting or pests, a farmer has to act quickly, often with advice that is hard to check. Krixi’s founder comes from a farming family, and Krixi is built around that reality: a clear answer the farmer can understand, the reasons behind it, and someone local to talk to.

How Krixi works

  • The farmer takes a photo. AI only suggests the visible signs it may see.
  • The farmer confirms which signs are really there, and answers a few short questions.
  • Krixi’s diagnostic engine decides, working from reviewed crop knowledge. Every answer shows its sources and whether it has been verified by an expert.
  • Pesticides banned or restricted in India under CIB&RC rules are never recommended.
  • Answers can be read or heard in Kannada, Telugu or English.

Input hubs

Krixi input hubs are local shops staffed by agriculture graduates. Hub staff follow up with farmers after a problem is found and offer the inputs farmers need at fair prices.

Where Krixi is today

Krixi is in a private pilot with vegetable farmers in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Crop knowledge has been researched for 47 vegetable crops and goes live crop by crop, as field experts review it. Krixi is not yet open to the public.
